NIGHTMOVES is just around the corner! On the first saturday, December 4th, we'll be having YOU and our resident DJ's AXIS ONE, ANTARES, DRUGMONEY, TOMMY L, ERA STEP and TALK take us through a journey on of HEAVY BASS.

JILLIONAIRE, [Mad Decent / Nyc / Trinidad] shown above, known for working with Switch, Major Lazer, MIA and more, and AMALSKI [Columbia Records / Nyc / Paris] the king of repping tha dnb sound ting, will be in town to celebrate the release of NIGHTMOVES' resident TALK's debut EP on Nightshifters Records. THE HOLY MOUNTAIN is a 4 song EP through a dark and twisting free fall of heavy bass music. DEATHFACE remixes the tune Walking Disease with his hypnotic and destructive dubstep sound, as DISTAL takes the title track from the EP and turns into the sound track of a spiritual awakening in 140, LOLBOYS gives up the title track to the gods in their bongo driven, tribal house remix and SKINNZ changes it up a bit with his 145 bpm dubstep remix of the title track as well. With 1000 plus views on the video for the haunting techno track "Burning Alive" and atleast 10 blogs giving the release a positive write up, this is not a collection of material to look past.

We all have a healthy dose of heavy dubstep and bass music from Drugmoney and Talk at Nightmoves in the big room, but its always good to have a nice measurement of big sounding house tunes thrown in the mix with Axis One in control of the wheel. Favorite music at the moment.

Iron Age - Sleeping Eye of the Watcher.

Super heavy and epic crossover from Austin, Texas. They have nothing to do with dance music, and that's why I love it.

Baobinga + ID - Bass music Sessions #1

Baobinga is one of my favorite producers. His music is very fast, bass heavy and in your face, but its super fucked up. The track "Still Tippin'" is probably one of their best work.

Slowdive - Souvlaki Soulstation

Slowdive is an epic shoegaze band from the 90s that never got a break but put out one epic ass album with tons of really pretty love songs that are great to listen to while I'm travelling on the plane or bus.

Lil Silva - Nightskanker

Li'l Silva is a 19 year old British kid doing some awesome productions on Night Slugs records from London. There's just something so simple and easy about it, but its so hot and evil sounding. I play his track "Nightskanker" all the time.

Favorite clothes at the moment.

I got a super old baseball jacket in San Fransisco for a great deal of $65 at this vintage shop called the Wasteland, and a b+w tie dye shirt that says in different fonts "DIE HIPPIE SCUM!" on it. I also picked up like three new Trouble and Bass tshirts. Thanks dudes.

CALIFORNIA TOUR.

I got off the plane and had to get my ride to drive me immediately to Hollywood to play at Cinespace for Steve Aoki's party, DIMMAK TUESDAYS, with DanOH, Them Jeans and Acidwashed. As soon as I got there, I had to play. It was super fun though! Everyone was very responsive.

After LA, it was to catch a Greyhound bus to Sacramento and play at another club night called HUMP with my friends JUST LOCO and DJ WHORES. It was a slow night, but I made the best of it. The next day, we got up and headed to San Fransisco. I got a bunch of clothes. A vintage baseball jacket, a b+w tie dye shirt that reads "DIE HIPPIE SCUM!!" and a band tshirt, one of my favorite bands, DARKTHRONE.

After the shopping, we headed to Santa Cruz to meet up and hang out and watch my friends The Captain and Drop The Lime kill this club called Motiv. It was super fun. In the morning we ate at a weird cafe where you bus your own table and if they see you on your cellphone they will make you leave!?

Saturday was my last night to DJ a party. The party was BLOW UP. It was HUGE. Super fun! I played a very good set and had alot of people leaving the upstairs where Treasure Fingers was playing to come dance to my set! Pretty sure I played an hour longer than what I was supposed to.

In the morning, we said our goodbyes and I headed back to the south east to see my friends and family.

Us over at the NIGHTMOVES HQ are very excited to have had the TROUBLE AND BASS boys DEATHFACE and the CAPTAIN smash the monthly heavy dubstep party DRUGMONEY represents [BASSHEADS] last weekend! Even the hardcore kids were moshing.

THIS weekend we're having the OCTOBER edition of NIGHTMOVES! FLUFFTRONIX and MANIKIN will be reigning down in bass along with ANTIMATTER and MELT!!

We're also very excited to be watching our man TALK bust through the seams of the dirty south and into the wildness of the west coast next week, also hitting up Richmond, Memphis and Columbus along his way! He'll be leaving a trail of blood behind.

"GHIBLI (originally from Chattanooga) started djing in 1997 spinning soul house in Chicago, IL under the name DJ Rextacy, where he djed all over the midwest and down south. Soon afterwards, GHIBLI moved overseas to Italy, and began spinning drum and bass all over Europe. He has djed in front of crowds of 3,000+ people and in places like Amsterdam and Rome. During his time overseas, Rex Henry founded Mystic Records in 2001 and began the role of audio engineer and producer.
